Why did I choose beeswax over soy
Bees are my favorite animal and as a natural farmer myself I choose beeswax from friends from all around Greece who treat bees with respect (ethical beekeeping)
Earth hour and World Wild life Fund suggest the use of beeswax candles/
But why?|
Why not soy?
Soy is cheaper for me to get as an ingredient but although it comes from a plant , it is not ethical neither ecofriendly ( although it is vegan). Due to the demand for soy the deforestation of the Amazon increases as well as the use of soy monocultures (monoculture is the culture of a single species on a piece of land) leading to destroyed soil and the destruction of a healthy ecosystem which could allow for species interactions. Themilia’s aromatherapy beeswax is pure without additives.
